Our Pneumatic Automation Design Process for Passenger Safety

Passenger safety plays an important role in the design and build of buses. Part of this is to ensure that a person or object won't get trapped in the door or be caused any harm when entering or leaving the bus.

We were approached by Coachwork Central, a NZ builder and manufacturer of coaches, to come up with a pneumatic automation design for their doors that was reliable and sensitive to the close door movements and would ensure passenger safety. Read more about the solution we designed here.
